Y Strainer Installation Instructions
Proper installation is essential for maintaining the performance of your industrial strainer. Before installation, ensure all machined surfaces are free of defects and that the interior is clear of foreign objects.
For horizontal pipelines, install the strainer with the drain connection pointing downward. Flanged-end strainers should have their flange bolting tightened gradually using a back-and-forth clockwise motion, while threaded-end strainers require an appropriate sealant.
After installation, gradually increase line pressure and inspect all joints for leakage. If the strainer includes a start-up screen, carefully monitor the pressure drop during operation.
Our CP-112 Cone Strainers offer temporary filtration for liquid and gas equipment and piping systems. They may also be used as permanent oil and gas strainers in certain applications when needed.
Standard lengths are designed to fit a weld neck flange plus a long-radius weld elbow, while the outside diameter is designed to fit inside the flange bolt hole circle. Full-face configurations with bolt holes are also available.
