Installation is straightforward. Before installation, ensure all machined surfaces are free from defects and that the interior of the strainer is clear of any foreign material. For horizontal pipelines, the strainer should be positioned with the drain connection pointing downward. During installation, flange bolting should be tightened gradually in a cross pattern, while threaded end strainers require an appropriate sealant. After the strainer is in place, increase line pressure slowly and check for any leakage around the joints. If the strainer is supplied with a start-up screen, carefully monitor the pressure drop during commissioning to ensure proper operation.
