VAPOR TIGHT SAMPLER

To determine the exact time of interface in pipeline operations.

A  fluid sample from the pipeline flows continuously through the sampler jars.  The fluid enters the system past a thermometer giving the operating temperature. Fluid is then allowed to enter the hydrometer jars through the individual inlet valves filling the jar to the overflow level, floating the hydrometer. The overflow goes to drain.  Each jar has a dump valve separate from the overflow. By observing the specific gravity change, the exact time of product interface can be observed.
